Marlowe

"An early Bruce Lee Movie where James Gardner in the star but Bruce does a fine job as a supporting actor and gets to show off a little of his kung fu skills"

Marlowe (1969)
PLOT: Five-hundred bucks doesn't come easily for private eye Philip Marlowe (James Garner). But when it comes by way of a bribe, it might as well be five cents. He rejects Winslow Wong (Bruce Lee) and his offer of cash...and Wong promptly karates the detective's office into a junkpile. In a colorful whodunit based on Raymond Chandler's The Little Sister, Garner's easygoing style contrasts agreeably with the grim task of sleuthing a case of missing persons, blackmail and ice-pick murders.
Director: Paul Gobart
Writers: Raymond Chandler (novel), Stirling Silliphant
Stars: Bruce Lee, James Garner, Gayle Hunnicutt and Carroll O'Connor

Enter The Dragon

"Top notch fight scenes, the weapon scenes are truly outstanding, with great choreography and precision timing."

Enter The Dragon (1973)

PLOT:This film is famous for being Bruce Lee's first Hollywood movie, with Bruce speaking English throughout the movie instead of the usual bad dubbing. Bruce Lee plays a Shaolin monk persuaded to go undercover at Dr. Han's martial arts tournament, held on Han's island, Bruce along with American playboy Roper (John Saxon) and African-American activist Williams (Jim Kelly) are soon involved in deadly battles with Han and his various henchmen including Bolo (Bolo Yeung).
The acting, production values and fight scenes are all an improvement on Lee's earlier movies. The real treat for fans of Bruce Lee movies is the outstanding weapon fight scenes with staff, double escrima sticks, and nunchaku, absolutely stunning.
Director: Robert Clouse
Writers: Michael Allin
Stars: Bruce Lee, John Saxon and Jim Kelly

Game Of Death

"Famous for the fight scenes with Dan Inosanto and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar."

Game Of Death (1978)

PLOT:Originally planned as Bruce Lee's movie to showcase his Jeet Kune Do style of martial arts and started in 1972, production was halted for Bruce Lee's Hollywood movie 'Enter The Dragon' and was only completed after his death using recorded footage and stand-ins to finish the movie.
Bruce Lee plays Hai Tien, a retired champion martial artist who is coerced by a Korean gang into fighting his way to the top of a pagoda, the pagoda is divided into five levels each protected by a master of the martial arts. When Bruce Lee died only filming for three of the floors had been shot, Filipino martial arts master Dan Inosanto, hapkido master Ji Han Jae, and finally Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on the top floor, this obviously leads to difficulties with the continuity in the script and action but the film is still a great example of Bruce Lee's fighting style.
Director: Robert Clouse
Writers: Robert Clouse
Stars: Bruce Lee, Gig Young and Colleen Camp

Game Of Death II

"You just wonder what Bruce Lee would have been able to do if he had lived."

Game Of Death II(1981)

PLOT:Although this film is titled Game Of Death II it has in fact very little to connect it with the earlier Robert Clouse film, this film uses footage from Bruce Lee's earlier films as well as stand ins to cobble together a movie.

The convoluted plot has Bruce Lee playing Billy LO, a famous martial art star who along with his brother begin to suspect their lives are in danger. Travelling to Korea to exact revenge for the death of his friend Chin KU. Everything leads up to battle in an underground pagoda. The use of stand ins, and terrible dialog make this film one for the diehard Bruce Lee fans or those who enjoy comically bad kung fu movies.
Director:
See-Yuen NG
Writers: Tin Shing Hoh, Chuo-lun Ting
Stars: Bruce Lee, Tai Chung Kim and Jang Lee Hwang
